The team has had the distinction of doing one of the first heart transplants in the state and also doing pediatric heart transplants. Heart Failure and Future Directions
Recognizing the underserved need for heart failure and mechanical circulatory support, the Star Cardiac Services team actively employs extracorporeal membrane oxygenators (ECMO) for critically ill patients. The department is working towards expanding its offerings, aiming to become a center of excellence for heart failure therapies.
