STAR Illumina is a state-of-the-art facility providing the full spectrum of plastic and reconstructive surgery. Our experienced surgeons rebuild form and function for major trauma, cancer treatment, congenital conditions, and burns.
Reconstructive Care
We provide reconstruction care for cancer patients of all kinds. We would like to spread awareness that cancer patients can actively seek head, neck or breast reconstruction right after their recovery from cancer. Breast cancer patients can get a breast reconstruction immediately following mastectomy, even before they walk out of the hospital.
Specialized Burn Center
We are one of the few centers in the state to treat burns covering 50-60% of the body or more. We work closely with skin banks, from whom we immediately collect skin grafts to cover severe burns and begin treatment. Our surgeons utilize skin grafting and flaps to reconstruct burnt areas. We also provide rehabilitation to restore mobility and function.
Injuries and Trauma
We work closely with our Trauma Center and surgical teams to support all injuries right from minor pediatric burns, finger cuts, to extensive head or limb injuries. Immediate attention from all concerned departments is key in such situations, we take pride in the timely multidisciplinary care that STAR is able to provide.
